Welcome to the home of Wirral Bikers Motorcycle Club

Wirral Bikers Motorcycle Club was founded in 2008.

We are a friendly group of bikers located on the Wirral Peninsula,
who through the pleasure of owning motorcycles have now formed the Wirral Bikers Motorcycle Club, we enjoy getting together for general rideouts, charity rides, camping trips and pub meets.

In the Summer we meet up for rides out during the week and also at weekends. Full details of these events are usually posted up within the Members Forum. In the Winter we still keep in regular contact by using the W.B.M.C. Members Forum, we also post updates via this website, our Facebook account and attend fortnightly pub meets.

Club Membership is by invitation through this website
so if you are interested in applying for free membership and joining us on rideouts or for any of our other activities; then use the "Contact Form" immediately below this text. Membership is currently closed but all new applications will be added to the waiting list.

The 2016 British Superbike Season is nearly here

It's only 63 days to go until the opening round of the 2016 British Superbikes (BSB) at Silverstone. The latest Teams and riders list is starting to take shape and it looks like it's going to be another exciting season ahead. At the time of writing there are 32 riders destined to take their places on the grid including a number of 3 rider teams this year, those being Honda Racing, JG Speedfit Kawasaki and Anvil Hire Tag Yamaha. There will be quite a number of strong looking 2 man teams this year too, especially with Tommy Bridewell and Ryuichi Kiyonari aboard the Martin Halsall's Bennetts Suzuki machines and Tommy Hill's new ePayMe Yamaha Team of John Hopkins and Stuart Easton. One interesting development for 2016 is the switch from Kawasaki to Ducati by the Paul Bird Motorsport racing team. 4 time British Superbike Champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne will be looking for his fifth title and is joined by the classy Glenn Irwin formally a BSS rider with Gearlink Kawasaki.
Shakey Byrne signals his readiness to get started
Will seem strange not to see Glenn Irwin in Orange and Green this season

Will the 'Chester' factor play a part in deciding the 2014 BSB Champion?

This weekend sees the start of the BSB 'Showdown' in Assen. The top six qualified riders will do battle over the final 3 rounds of British Superbike Championship to decide who will be the 2014 Champion. They are, Shane Byrne (562), Josh Brookes (536), Ryuichi Kiyonari (535), Tommy Bridewell (508), Chris Walker (505) and Dan Linfoot (501).

However, I wonder if the 'Chester' factor will play any part in providing a pointer as to who the eventual Champion will be? In 2011 Chester hosted a 'Meet and Greet' the BSB riders event on the Square in front of the Town Hall. One of those attending was Tommy Hill who went on to win the Title that year. photo DSC00354.jpg The BSB riders returned again in 2013 and this time Alex Lowes made an appearance and he then went on to win the Championship. photo 5619dfe2-67d7-40de-8422-1d194a60e382.jpg This year the riders once again came to Chester for the 'Meet and Greet' so you can view for yourself, which of the current 'contenders' were present and so see if the 'Chester' factor once again produces the Champion photo 439f0033-aaf3-4544-bb1d-79c29113a154.jpg In any event, lets hope its a safe and exciting finale to the BSB season and best of luck to all those taking part over the next 3 rounds.
